The farm at the myrtles
This fall, we’re excited to launch a new experience at the property: the Farm & Garden Tour. This guided, one-hour outdoor tour highlights the landscape, architectural features, sustainability and farming efforts, our animals, and future plans for the property.

Rooted in the past, growing toward the future.
Our Dream
The Farm at the Myrtles began as a vision to reconnect with the land and bring new life to this historic property. While the Myrtles is known for its deep Southern roots, we see the farm as a symbol of renewal—where history, hospitality, and sustainability come together. Our dream is to grow something lasting, nourishing not only our restaurant but also our community and the generations to come.

Feeding our table, serving our community.
Our Impact
From heirloom vegetables and herbs to fresh eggs and honey, our farm provides seasonal ingredients that fuel the wood-fired kitchen at Restaurant 1796. But the impact goes beyond the plate—we're cultivating a more sustainable future, reducing our footprint, and offering educational experiences that inspire guests to connect with where their food comes from.

Stewardship, sustainability, and a sense of place.
Our Philosophy
We believe that thoughtful farming honors both the land and the people it serves. The Farm at the Myrtles is managed with a deep respect for nature and the history of this land. Through regenerative practices, ethical animal care, and intentional design, we’re working to create a space that supports biodiversity, celebrates seasonality, and feeds not just our guests—but the soul of this place.
